Bring sites

Recycling banks and bring sites near you

Recycling banks, also called bring sites, are groups of containers in places like supermarket car parks. Each container takes one material, so check the label before you use it.

Recycling banks on Binmap

Binmap lists 417 recycling banks.

The things they list most often are glass bottles and jars (239), clothes (208), food tins and drink cans (152) and paper (132).

Do not leave anything beside a full bank

Recycling left on the ground next to a bank will not be recycled. Take it home or try the next bank on the map.

Some banks are closing as home collections grow

The government's Simpler Recycling policy required councils in England to collect glass, cans, plastic, paper and card from every home by 31 March 2026.

Some councils are removing bottle banks as glass collections start at home. If a bank on the map has gone, check what your own bins take.
