Recycle Now locator: check what your council recycles

The Recycle Now locator is a postcode search. It tells you what your council collects for recycling and which bin or bag each thing goes in.

Key facts

It also shows whether your council collects food or garden waste, and gives the council's contact details.
For things your council does not collect, it shows the closest places that take them, from plastic bags to building waste.
Each place comes with a rough distance from your postcode, a map and the other things it takes.
Recycle Now says the locator was used 6.5 million times in 2021.
Its data comes from several sources. Recycle Now asks people to report anything out of date.
